I can't believe its been over ten hours since I began the ordeal of printing, cutting, and digitally cropping photos of my art prints. To be honest, I wasn't sure if this dinky HP Deskjet printer would be up to the challenge. But it surprises! And I was very happy with the outcome!
It's been some work so far setting things up - editing my website and my shop took almost the whole day - but to be honest? This is the kind of thing I've been wanting since graduating high school. I might be getting ahead of myself here, but when I finally started taking steps towards what I want to do instead of dreaming about it - I got kindof excited.
I'm excited because art prints are what I really want to pursue right now and after months of feeling unsure I finally said eff it and got down to work. They might not fly off the shelves or even bring in any profit, but its kinda my dream, imagining my art on the walls and in the homes of complete strangers that enjoy looking at it. Success to me right now is setting up shop and seeing what happens.
I definitely have to thank my boyfriend for encouraging me to put aside the excuses and just jump in. His wisdom was simple, and came to me in a sleepy droll around midnight, "Just take it one little step at a time babe. Stop freaking out about everything else."
I can dig that.
